Genevieve Hurd Russell

December 19, 1925 ~ June 2, 2014

Genevieve Hurd Russell, 88, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 2, 2014.  She was born on December 19, 1925 in Snowville, UT to William Frederick and Elizabeth Hurd Larkin.

She married Earl Russell on June 14, 1944.  Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple on August 1, 1960.  After 56 years together Earl passed away on August 7, 2000.

Genevieve was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  She served faithfully as a Relief Society President and Sunday School Teacher.

She was a very selfless person.  Her life was devoted to her family, her faith, and to all people.

Genevieve is survived by her two sons, Alan (Sherrie) and Craig (Barbara); ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl; son, Elliott; and grandsons, Jed and Justin.

All are welcome to join us for a brief Graveside Service on Monday, June 9, 2014 at 10 a.m. at the Ogden City Cemetery, 1875 Monroe.  Friends may visit with family on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
