George D. Berkley, Jr.

George D. Berkley. Jr. was born January 7, 1941 in Preston, Idaho to George D. Berkley and Wanda Mary Sharp. He was raised in Sunset, Utah and graduated from high school in 1959.
He served honorably in the U.S. Army from June 1959 – 1977. He left active duty in 1977 and continued his service to his country in active Reserves until 1991, retiring with the rank of Major.
George pursued a second career in Criminal Justice and Court Administration in the Utah Court System. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and one in Sociology. He also earned two Masters Degrees in Criminology and Organizational Communications.
On August 5, 1965, George married Linda Foxley in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Logan Temple.
He is survived by his eternal companion, Linda, two children, Melinda (Brian) Stecklein, Brent (Tracy) Berkley, five grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren; and sister, Jenean (Donald) Crook.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 22, 20222 at the Clinton City Cemetery, with Bishop Brent Wilkinson of the Clinton 14th Ward, officiating. The family will meet with friends Tuesday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.
