George Mat Howard

George Mat Howard KAYSVILLE – George Mat Howard, 71, passed away Monday, December 7, 2009 at his home. He was born June 20, 1938 in Nephi, Utah the son of Mat Maurice and Alyth Bigler Howard. George married Beth Olcott on January 15, 1960 in Manti, Utah. George was a member of the LDS Church, Boys Scouts of America and received the Silver Beaver Award. Surviving are his wife, Beth Olcott Howard, two sons George Maurice Howard (SanDee), Paul Rulon Howard, daughter Kimberly Howard, grandchildren, Reagan Howard, Jacob Howard, Jessica Howard, John Howard, Dylan Howard, Scott Howard, Marc Howard and Josh Allen. Also survived by sisters Dixie Mitchell, Patsy (Darwin) Snell, and brother Bruce (Nadine) Howard. Preceded in death by his parents, sister and two children. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 12, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the Mountain Shadows Chapel, 615 No. Flint Street, Kaysville. Friends and family may call Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 No. Main and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment, Vine Bluff Cemetery, Nephi, Utah at 3 p.m.
