George Hopkins Robinson

December 9, 1927 ~ November 18, 2016

NORTH OGDEN – Surrounded by his family, George Hopkins Robinson, age 88, returned to his heavenly parents on November 18, 2016.  The son of Malcolm and Ann Robinson, George was born on December 9, 1927 in Glendale, Utah.

After meeting at Jacob Lake, Arizona, he and his sweetheart, Geraldine Henrie, were sealed on March 23, 1956 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.  They were blessed with four children, Cecil (Melanie), Robin (Scott), Laura (Austin), and Karl (Debbie).  They have 12 grandchildren and their posterity continues to grow with numerous great-grandchildren.

George had a successful career with the U.S. Forest Service living throughout areas in the west.  He retired as the Budget Officer for the Intermountain Region, headquartered in Ogden.

In addition to his family, his loves included the gospel of Jesus Christ, hunting, fishing, reading the scriptures, gardening, birding, watching sports, and good music.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Pleasant View 2nd Ward, 250 West Elberta Drive, conducted by Bishop Mark Coy.  Friends may visit with family on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.    Interment, Ben Lomond Cemeter, North Ogden. Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint humanitarian or missionary funds.
