George Sialaris

George Sialaris of Brigham City, Utah passed away peacefully on March 12, 2018.

George immigrated to Canada from Sparta, Greece where he met his wife Marie Rolland. Together they immigrated to to the United States where they had several businesses. He later moved to Utah and built “King George Furriers”. He was first a mink rancher and later became the first Siberian Lynx rancher in the United States. His ranch was the largest in the area.

He spent his time traveling to Europe and the Philippines along with other fascinating destinations. His passion was in business and real estate in which he excelled at through his final days.

George is survived by his current wife, Iris Sialaris as well as Marie Sialaris; and his children, Peter Sialaris, Venetia Sialaris and Anastasia Sayers; his grandchildren, Bobby Sialaris, Christina Sialaris, Peter Rickey, Austin Sayers, Ashley Rickey, Angela Sialaris, Dillon Sayers, Isabelle Sayers, and Venetia Sialaris; great-grandchildren, Aeson Sialaris, Roman Sialaris, Maverick Sialaris, and Shaylee Sialaris.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 16, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the Holy Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church, 674 42nd St.  Friends may visit with family on Friday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Interment, Brigham City Cemetery.
