George Edwin Twibey Jr.

LAYTON – George Edwin Twibey Jr., 77, passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2014.

He was born April 11, 1937 to George Edwin and Lida Gabriel Twibey in Englewood, Colorado.

George married Joy Lynn Emery on April 10, 1959 in Layton, Utah. 

He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1954 to 1958.

He loved camping, hunting, fishing, gold mining and was actively involved in all of these.  He spent lots of time with family and loved all of his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Joy Lynn of 55 years, three children, Jill (Brad) Hatch, Jenny (Shane) Mitchell, Chad (Adelle) Twibey, 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter, Hayley Lynn Hatch.

Graveside services will be held Monday, September 15, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.  Friends may visit family Monday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
