Georgia Jean Schofield
UINTAH HIGHLANDS a" Georgia Jean Clark Schofield, 84, died Friday, January 23, 2009, at Crestwood Care Center of Parkinson''s Disease.
She was born June 26, 1924 in Ogden, a daughter of Joseph and Mable Rookhuyzen.
On February 5, 1943, Georgia married Walter Cecil Schofield in Ogden. He died January 17, 1998.
She worked at Hill Air Force Base and Defense Depot Ogden until the birth of her children, Cecil G. Schofield and Linda S. Stewart.
Georgia''s interests were raising her children, gardening and water aerobics. She was always there for her family and even as sick as she was one week prior to her death, her concern was for her family.
Surviving are her son, Cecil G. Schofield, and daughter, Linda S. Stewart. Her only grandchild, Paula Jean Stewart Hufner, who lives in Virginia is unable to attend the funeral, gives her love.
Georgia is also survived by one brother, Don Clark, of Roy, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother, Dee Clark, and a twin brother who died at birth.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
Friends may call at the mortuary on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday 12:45 to 1:45 p.m.
Interment, Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
Special thanks to Hospice for their wonderful care of our mother, especially Becky, who Georgia loved, and for the continuous support at Crestwood Care Center the last two days of her life.
