Gerald Amos Hulme, 91, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2015. He was the son of Amos Briscoe and Della Roberts Hulme, born on July 10, 1923 in Bennington, Idaho. He was raised in Idaho but has spent the last 56 years in the Ogden area. He served during the World War II. He graduated from Weber State with a Bachelors of Science degree.
He married Virginia Irwin Jackson and they later divorced. He married Alice Krueger on November 3, 1962 in Elko, Nevada. Alice passed away on May 6, 2007.
Gerald worked and retired from Hill Air Force Base. He enjoyed being a member of the American Legion.
He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Gerald enjoyed attending the temple every week with his buddies.
Gerald enjoyed hunting, fishing, more fishing, and horseback riding. His favorite pastime was reading, teasing grandkids, drinking a Coke, eating Spanish peanuts, Snicker Bars, and sharing jokes with everyone!
Gerald is survived by his children, Lynn Hulme, Avon, UT; Pam Wood, Littleton, CO; Gwen Summers and Susan Norman of Paradise, UT; 14 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, and sisters, Ann Lane, Montpelier, ID; Ruth Wallentine, Lanark, ID; and Rhea Wallentine, Logan., UT. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice; granddaughter, Jamie Wood; parents, Amos and Della; sister, Norma Pugmire; and brothers, George and Glen Hulme.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Paris Idaho Cemetery.
