Gerald N. Randall
NORTH OGDEN – Gerald Ned Randall, 81, died Monday, February 22, 2010 at his home of causes incident to age.
He was born the seventh of eight children on June 2, 1928 in North Ogden to David Gilbert and Una Chatelain Randall. He attended North Ogden Schools, Weber State College and graduated from Brigham Young University.
He served in the Central Atlantic States Mission from 1948-50. He later served with the U.S. Army from 1953-55.
Gerald married Marilyn Richards on April 27, 1956 in the Logan LDS Temple.
He worked in the banking industry and Thiokol. He retired in 1991 with 25 years of service with the Small Business Administration.
As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Gerald served in various church callings. He and his wife served in the Ogden Temple, Family History Center, Brisbane, Australia; Washington D.C. Temple, and Peoria, Illinois Missions.
Surviving are his wife, Marilyn, North Ogden; six children, Melanie (Kelly) Penrod, Brad (Lori) Randall, and Lori (Charles) Machovsky, all of North Ogden; Karrie (Todd) Rich, Fruit Heights; Blair (Kristin) Randall, North Salt Lake; Brent (Dee) Randall, Kimberly, ID; 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He is survived by two sisters, Doris Cox and LaRue Ellis.
Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Melvin, and four sisters, Beth, Nina, Lula and Janet.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the North Ogden 3rd Ward Chapel, 386 E. Elberta Drive with Bishop Gary Belton officiating.
Friends may call at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 North Washington Blvd., on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday at the Ward Chapel from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.
Interment, Ben Lomond Cemetery where Military Honors will be accorded by the Combined Veterans Honor Guard.
