Geraldine Edwards Dyson, 75, passed away Sunday, March 22, 2015.

She was born March 24, 1939 in West Point, Utah, a daughter of Lorin and Thelda Inez Knight Edwards.

On May 25, 1956, Geraldine married Merrill John Dyson in West Point. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served faithfully in many callings. She was also a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers.

Geraldine retired from the IRS where she worked as a Photo Copy Clerk.

She enjoyed flower arranging, cooking, camping, fishing, crocheting and crafts.

Geraldine is survived by her husband, Merrill; their children, Lorraine Lund, Mark (Janae) Dyson, MaryAnn (Mark) Cecotti, Amy Trease; daughter-in-law, Ellen Dyson; 15 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren with two more on the way; and six siblings, Blain (Claudia) Edwards, Bonnie Acorn, Don (Sandra) Edwards, Patsy (Max) Havas, Kay (Mary) Edwards, Randy (Caroline) Edwards, and Allen (Carol) Edwards.

She was preceded in death by a son, Bruce Dyson, grandson, Michael Ray Cecotti, and son-in-law, Brad Lund.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 26th at Lakeside Stake Center, 855 North 4000 West. The family will meet with friends Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South and Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.
