Geraldine “Jeri” C. Etterlein Hopkins Geraldine “Jeri” C. Etterlein Hopkins passed away in the early hours on April 10, 2012. She was born on June 8, 1939 to Gerald B. and Kathleen Kelly Etterlein in Ogden. She was raised in Ogden, but has also lived in Covina, Monterey and Oakhurst California. She married Vance E. Roache. They were later divorced. She married Jerry C. “JC” Hopkins on February 4, 1975 in Covina, California. She had a great sense of humor and was the family comedian, and often made everyone laugh and enjoy their time with her. She had a passion for dancing especially ballroom dancing. She adored animals and loved her dogs and cats. She enjoyed cooking and made wonderful soup. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church. Jeri is survived by her sons, Ted Roache and Randy (Ann) Roach of California and Scott Roach of Colorado; 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren with one on the way; sisters, Betty Lou Winward, Shirley Jean Johnson, Patricia (Rod) Waite, Mary Margaret (Bob) Merrill and Janece Shanklin. She was preceded in death by her son, Robbie Roach; parents; brothers, Bob and Bill Etterlein, and sister, Kathaleen Morel. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, April 12, 2012 at 2 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 514 24th St. Friends may visit family on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. with Rosary at 7 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
