Geraldine "Geri" Storey

May 24, 1962 ~ December 10, 2014

Geri Storey, 51, passed away Wednesday, December 10, 2014 surrounded by her devoted and loving husband and children after a long courageous battle with ovarian cancer. She passed with a smile on her face and through all of her pain and suffering she still had more concern for the well being of her family and friends. With their encouragement, she was able to pass comfortably in the home she created with warmth and everlasting love.

She was born May 24, 1963 in Ogden, Utah, a daughter of Penny Christensen.

She attended Weber and Box Elder County Schools.

On September 17, 1982, Geri married the love of her life, Michael Ray Storey in Ogden, Utah.

She was a dedicated employee at Autoliv for 32 years, ending her career as a Production Supervisor. During this time she developed many deep and everlasting friendships.

Geri loved her family more than anything. She enjoyed camping, beading and crafting. Her favorite place to visit with her family was The Old Faithful Inn at Yellowstone National Park.

Geri is survived by her husband, Michael; children Tori (Rob) Reed, Brandon (Erin) Storey, Brianne (Cole) Storey-Morgan, her mother, Penny and siblings, Bill Clark, John Clark, and Kimberly Clark; and her precious granddaughter, Kaycee Michaela.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Farren and Lucille Christensen and our dear family pet, Shotzer, whom Geri lost shortly after being diagnosed.

The family would like to give thanks to Dr. Harold Johnson, nurses Anabeth, Mary, Michelle, Heather, other loving supportive staff and her wonderful co-workers and dearest friends, who continued to support her during her fight. To the Roy City Fire and Rescue Department, Geri’s second family, for their continued and unwavering support. We are all amazed and grateful for the love and kindness that poured into Geri’s fight to make it easier.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, December 15th at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South. The family will meet with friends Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.

In lieu of flowers, Geri expressed donations be made to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund, www.ocrf.org.
