Gerri Sanders McFarland LIBERTY- Gerrie Sanders McFarland passed away at home unexpectedly on Thursday April 14, 2011.

She was born on January 12, 1953 in Ogden, Utah to Gene and Dorothy Sanders. She graduated from Weber high School in 1971. She married Michael Christensen and later divorced. Later she married John McFarland. She was a member of the Liberty 1st Ward.

She was employed at Associated Foods but her biggest and most rewarding job was taken care of her parents. She enjoyed spending time with her kids and grandkids.

In October her kids gave her one of her greatest dreams to go to Maui. Where she got to walk on the beach. She also went on a once in a lifetime cruise to Mexico with her sister Kim. She also enjoyed family time, scrapbooking and going to Wendover with John.

She is survived by her husband John McFarland, one daughter Dani (Corey) Boren, five sons; Jason (Julie) Christensen, Chad (Stacey) Christensen, Tyler (Ashley) Christensen, Brett (Anne) McFarland, Justin (Ragean) McFarland. She is also survived by 16 grandkids, her parents Gene and Dot Sanders, and siblings Richard (Judy) Sanders, Larry (Lynette) Sanders one sister Kim (Craig) Wolverton, and many nieces and nephews. Also preceded in death by one grandson Kolbee Boren.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday April 20, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Liberty First Ward, 4150 N. 3300 E. Liberty, Utah.

Family will meet friends on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s North Ogden Mortuary 2140 N. Washington Blvd. and Wednesday from 9:45 to 10:45 at the Ward.

Interment, Liberty Cemetery.
