Gertrude “Trudy” E. Warren
OGDEN – Gertrude “Trudy” Elaine Warren, 87, died Friday, January 18, 2008 at a local care center in Ogden.
She was born July 31, 1920 in Meridian, Idaho, a daughter of Ralph R. and Bessie B. Daum Scott. She was educated and lived in Meridian, Idaho, moving to Ogden in 1945.
Trudy married William A. Warren on July 4, 1947 in Evanston, Wyoming.
She was employed at the Naval Supply Depot in Clearfield, transferring to Defense Depot Ogden in 1947. She retired in December of 1972 following 25 years of service.
Trudy was a member of the First Methodist Church of Idaho.
She was a member of the Women’s International Bowling Congress, and she bowled in various leagues since 1946. Trudy and Bill enjoyed many years of outdoor activities, especially fishing and hunting. After their retirement they took many trips in their motor home and enjoyed many vacations with family and friends. Trudy also enjoyed many hours’ playing cards and games, knitting, crossword puzzles, bowling, and taking trips to Wendover.
Surviving is her husband, Bill of Ogden; her daughter, Sheila Gleason, Layton, UT; one brother, Zenith (Thelma) Scott, Boise, ID; one sister, Kathryn Colson, Grandview, WA; one brother-in-law, Clayton Felt, Boise, ID; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death was her son, Charles E. Warren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
Friends may call at the mortuary on Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
