Gisela Fischer Gibson

GISELA FISCHER GIBSON Gisela Fischer Gibson passed away Thursday November 5, 2009 at the Heritage Park Nursing Home of causes incidental to age. She was born April 24, 1925 in Hamburg, Germany a daughter of Otto Richard and Magdalena Fischer. She lived in Germany until her marriage to John Arthur Gibson on March 20, 1948. They were married in Germany and later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. Gisela worked as a bookkeeper. She was an expert seamstress and enjoyed needle point, cross-stitching, crocheting and going on walks through the forest. She also loved to iron. Gisela could make a friend anywhere she went, she loved talking to people. She also had a special place in her heart for dogs and parakeets. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many church callings; one of her favorites was being a Sunday School Librarian while she lived in Hawaii. Her love for the islands helped her become a Kamaaina. Surviving are her husband, John of Farr West, UT; her children, Astrid (Steve) Lawrence, Seattle WA, Derek Gibson, Layton, UT, Bianca (Clay) Malmstrom, Seattle, WA and Kurt (Jill) Gibson, Farr West UT; 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her twin sister, Rita Fischer Frampton, Bountiful, UT. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am. Monday November 9, 2009 at Lindquist''s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. where friends may call from 9:30-10:30 am. prior to services. Interment Bountiful City Cemetery.
