Gladys S. Gibson

WEST HAVEN–Gladys S. Gibson passed away on Friday, February 18, 2022. She was born March 13, 1932, in Ogden, a daughter of Howard and Gladys Sorensen.
She married Gary R. Gibson on November 14, 1952 in the Logan Temple. They had four children, Michelle (Randy) Spencer, Blaine (Kris-deceased and Kathy) Gibson, Jeffrey (Pam) Gibson and Elise (Thom) Summers.
Gladys was a member of the Wilson 3rd Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served in many callings. She served a mission at the Washington DC Temple. She was a homemaker, and she was a librarian at Pioneer Elementary. Mom went back to college and earned a degree in Education. She taught second grade at Kanesville Elementary until she retired. She was a long-life member of Daughters of Utah Pioneers.
Mom was preceded in death by her husband, Gary; daughter, Michelle; daughter-in-law, Kris Gibson; grandsons, Tyson Spencer and Rhett Gibson; and her parents.
We would like to give special thanks to hospice caregivers Tammy and Angie and to the Terrace at Mt. Ogden Care Center.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 25, 2022 at 11 a.m. at the Wilson 3rd Ward, 2333 South 2700 West, West Haven. Friends may visit with family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment, West Weber Cemetery.
