Glen Hershel Judd, 94, passed away April 16, 2008 in Spanish Fork, Utah.
He was born on July 18, 1913 in Henefer, Utah to Hershel and Myrtle Judd.
Glen was raised and educated in Ogden, Utah. He received his Eagle Scout award in 1928.
He married Miriam Helen Peterson on April 17, 1935 in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. Miriam passed away May 15, 2003.
Glen and Miriam moved to Sparks, Nevada with their daughter in 1938, where he was employed by the Union Pacific Railroad. In 1945 he was employed at Gazins Clothing Store and eventually became the owner.
He was active in Sparks Lion''s Club and other community service clubs. He acted in many Reno Little Theater Productions.
Glen was active member of the LDS Church and was a Stake President and was ordained a Church Patriarch.
As a couple the Judd''s served an LDS Mission to the Sioux Indian in Fort Thomson in South Dakota.
In 1985 Glen & Miriam moved to St George, Utah where they lived for over twenty years.
Glen was a hunter and a fly fisherman as well as an avid golfer who enjoyed the out of doors.
Surviving him are his daughter, Louise J. Peterson, and his daughter-in-law, Annette Schilin Judd. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Preceding him were his wife, Miriam and his son, Stephen Judd.
Funeral services will be Monday, April 21, 2008 at 12:00 p.m. at the Elk Ridge Stake Center, 185 South Ridge View Dr, Elk Ridge, Utah 84651.
Family and friends may call on Monday morning from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the church.
There will be a graveside dedication on Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Lindquist Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
