“Together Again”

Our dear Dad passed away on August 7, 2017. He was born on January 19, 1925 to George Ephraim and Delilah Humphreys Larson. He was raised in Millville, Utah, attended Millville Elementary School and graduated from South Cache High School in 1943.  He also attended Utah Agricultural College in Logan, Utah.

He is a veteran of WWII, serving in the Army Air Corps. He worked at Cache Valley Machine and Iron Works, Logan, Utah.  He then worked at Hill AFB for 32 years and advanced to the position of Chief of Quality Assurance in the machine shop Manufacturing and Repair Section. He retired from HAFB in 1980.  He then worked for Westinghouse Corp. at the Western Zirconium Corp Ogden facility.

Glen married Ruth Marie Ashton in the Logan, Utah Temple on June 18, 1948 and had four children. After a divorce Glen met and married Lucile B. Swartz on April 17, 1971 and their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple.  Lucile died in 2010.

Glen was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many positions.  He was a hard worker and perfectionist.  He built his own home.  He helped anyone in need.

Glen is survived by his children: Lex (Vicki) Larson, Lynette Priest, Kerry (Alan) Neal, Kelly Larson, and the Swartz stepchildren: Stan (Sheri), Gary (Donna), Robert, Tim (Marla); and many loved grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Alicia Ojeda for her love and tender care of Dad, also dear friends, Gordan and Linda Randall and Robert and Linda Hoggan, as well as Julie and Annnamarie with IHC Hospice, and the staff of McKay-Dee, and South Ogden Rehab.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at 11a.m. at the Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.  Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. where military honors will be accorded.
