Glenda Elaine Okabe Cordner

Glenda passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2015.

Mom was born in Leland, Utah, August 8, 1937 to Edna and Glen Davis.

Mom grew up with a song in her heart and was always singing.  Grandpa used to take her to the pool hall to show off her talents to his friends.  Glenda grew up with two brothers and five sisters.

In her adult life she met the man of her dreams.  Gerald Kiyoshi Okabe and Glenda were married on January 24, 1960 in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.  On their first anniversary, they were sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple.  Gerald preceded her in death.  Glenda raised nine children.

Glenda worked various jobs, such as a truck driver pilot, housekeeper, nurse’s aide, dental assistant, secretary, and also had an in home day-care for several years.  Glenda worked very hard in genealogy and had many, many family members sealed.

Glenda loved Father in Heaven and his Son Jesus Christ dearly, and held to their promise of eternal marriage.  She is now reunited with her dearly beloved Gerald.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Kaysville City Cemetery, 500 E. Crestwood.

Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
