Glenn Devon Andersen

1933 – 2016

Glenn Devon Andersen passed away on January 6, 2016 at the age of 82.  Glenn was born in Crescent, Utah on April 22, 1933 to Rachael Elaine Smart and Emil Andersen.  He was the fourth of six children. He is preceded in death by his parents, three siblings and one son, David.

Glenn had great pride in his family. He has spent the last 25 years with his true love, Eva.

Glenn worked for both Kaysville City and Davis County and was a volunteer on the Kaysville City Fire Department for 30 years. He has been enjoying his retirement over the last 22 years. He loved being outdoors, especially during the summers in Idaho where he spent time fishing. He never seemed to sit still for very long; he always had a project to work on. Glenn was willing to put everyone’s needs before his own. He truly loved to help and serve others. He was very generous.

Glenn is survived by his children DeVonya A Madsen and Kyle Andersen and by his two granddaughters Kailey Rae (Connor) Van Brocklin and Emily Nicole Madsen. He is also survived by the many friends and family that he shared his life with.

Grandpa, we love you and you will be dearly missed!

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main.  Friends may visit family Thursday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.  Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
