Our beloved father, grandfather, and loyal friend Glenn Charles Cundick, passed away peacefully at home in the morning hours of May 24, 2012, to be with his son, brother, parents and Heavenly Father.
Glenn was born the fourth child to Milton and Florence Cundick on January 25, 1935 in Sandy, Utah.
After graduating from Jordan High as a proud "Beetdigger", Glenn pursued studies at the University of Utah. While in ROTC at the U, Glenn served aboard the battleship USS Missouri. It was during that time, he was diagnosed with severe type I diabetes, a disease that he successfully managed and remarkably controlled through the remainder of his life. Partially as a result of addressing management of this disease, Glenn obtained a degree in pharmacy from the U. He was a respected and well liked pharmacist, working for many years at the McKay-Dee hospital.
Early in his career, Glenn met and married the love of his life, Elisabeth Corelli, in the Salt Lake City LDS temple on August 28, 1959. Glenn and Lis spent 52 joyous years together. They successfully raised their five children - Jeff, Cathy, Kevin, Cari Anne, and Ryan - in Brigham City and Ogden.
Glenn served throughout his life as a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, holding many callings including pianist, organist, and High Priest Group Leader. He was known for his impressive knowledge of the scriptures and restored gospel. He loved the Savior and followed His teachings throughout his life. Glenn was known to be thrifty but generous. He often worked two jobs and was always ready to help and assist others when they were in need.
Glenn was an excellent, respected golfer who enjoyed playing often with his pals. He loved watching classic movies, documentaries, and spending time watching cartoons with his 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. His greatest joy was spending time with his family. We''ll always remember his warm, familiar greeting of, "Boy oh, boy - look who''s here!"
Glenn was preceded in death by his son, Ryan Cundick; parents, Milton and Florence Cundick; and brother, Royce Cundick. In lieu of any flowers, the family requests consideration of a modest donation to the American Diabetes Association.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit family Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
