Glenn Aguon Mendiola was called Home by our Heavenly Father on March 24, 2021 at the age of 57.
He was born March 12, 1964 in Tamuning, Guam to +Elias Cruz and +Rosa Aguon Mendiola.
Glenn was a man of many talents. In his own words, he was a “jack of all trades, master of none” when it came to doing anything, from HVAC systems, to cars, even some finger-licking good food. There was nothing he couldn’t figure out.
Glenn worked a variety of jobs both full time and on the side. From working as a mechanic, to being a security officer, and lastly on the Naval Public Works in Guam to a boiler mechanic on the mainland.
After marrying the love of his life in Guam in 1993,and raising his two children and goddaughter who he adored, he relocated to Utah with his family in 2000 due to the BRAC closure of Naval PWC, Guam and worked at Hill Air Force Base up until his passing. Nonetheless, the job he enjoyed the most was raising his kids. He enjoyed time with family and friends, going on adventures out of town, and gathering beside the barbeque pit together for fiestas. You could always find Glenn surrounded with his little nieces and nephews, outside perfecting the yard, riding his Harley, singing in the church choir or joining in with the Guam community to help contribute in keeping the Chamorro culture alive with those who have also relocated to Utah.
He was also the kind of person who would go out of the way for others. From helping the neighborhood kids learn how to ride a bike, to baking delicious treats for anyone. Even through his kindness, one could never tell when he was serious or when he was joking around. That is the kind of man he imprinted on everyone he met. Glenn, a devout Catholic, a dedicated servant to God, had gone through so many health challenges. But with his faith and trust in God and with the support of his wife, his children, family, and friends, he had overcome all of those obstacles. He always tells himself that he is going through all these health challenges as God knows he is able to carry his cross until it is time for him to go Home.
Glenn is survived by his wife Annie of 28 years, and their children: Christian Glenn, Victoria Anne, and Angelica Y. and Michael Williamson (Madison). His sisters/brothers (spouses): Mae A. and +Truman ‘Andy’ Anderson, CO; Juan A. and Remy F. Mendiola, NV; Pedro A.
