Glenn Grant Pitts
Glenn Grant Pitts was born in Bonifay, Florida on September 24, 1920. He died on Tuesday, June 5, 2007 in Lewistown, Montana never awakening from a coma brought on by pneumonia.
Glenn Pitts spent a distinguished career in the military enlisting in the Army in 1940. He served honorably in both World War II and the Korean War. He subsequently joined the Air Force when it became a separate service in 1947 and spent the remainder of his military time as an airman. He retired with 30 years of service in the grade of Senior Master Sergeant.
He married Mary Pitts on May 4, 1952 celebrating 55 years of married life in May of this year.
He is survived by his wife Mary Mildred Pitts, his son Stephen Glenn Pitts, his daughter-in-law Jie Feng-Pitts and their two children Hayden and Lance; his daughter Colonel Janice E. Vincent and his son-in-law Lt Col Stephen W. E. Vincent and granddaughter Ariel R. Vincent; grandson Paul Pitts and his wife Angie, grandson Hunter and granddaughter Anna Tae, step-daughter Jeannie Brockhausen and her husband Frederick Brockhausen; step-daughter Annie Gilette and her husband Don Gilette; Sondra Hudson and her husband Jack Hudson.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 9, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends and family may call Saturday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
