Dr. Glenn W. Smith, age 84 of Layton, Utah passed away peacefully May 10, 2014 at his home.

He was born in Coalville, Utah on November 24, 1929 to Sidney and Catherine Thomas Smith.

He married Carole Kapp on January 30, 1953 and are the parents of three children, Robyn, Brad and Brian.

Glenn graduated from Ogden High School, Weber State and earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery Degree from Case Western Reserve University, practiced dentistry for 20 years for the U.S. Public Health Service before entering private practice for over 30 years in Ogden, Utah.

Glenn is a Naval veteran of the Korean War. He loved hunting, fishing, camping and sports. 

Preceded in death by his wife, Carole Kapp and three sisters.  Surviving: one daughter, Robyn Brown (Brent), two sons, Brad Smith (Robin) and Brian Smith (Jamie), his sister Orla Kapanka, and two brothers: Sid and Tom Smith, 11grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

He was a member of the Peacefield Ward in Layton of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Funeral services will be held Saturday May 17, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
