Glenna Page

Glenna Ahlstrom Page passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on May 18, 2014 after 87 years of loving, laughing and loyalty.  Glenna was the devoted daughter of Glen and Mary Ahlstrom.  She was born on the 31st of May, 1926 in Boise, Idaho.  Glenna was the eldest of five children and spent most of her early years in south central Utah.  Glenna later graduated from Ogden High School in 1944.  She worked at the Navy  Supply Depot in Clearfield, Utah where she met her partner and true love, Milton Page.  They were married on December 19th, 1946 in the Salt Lake Temple and shared their lives for more than 67 years.  Together, they raised three children, Linda, Kathy and Ken.

Glenna was loved for her beautifully optimistic personality and outlook on life.  She loved meeting new people and visiting and keeping in touch with her life-long acquaintances.  Glenna found joy having her family in her home for visits and in visiting with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Her heart was always opened to others.  Glenna enjoyed embroidery, reading and traveling.  She enjoyed many years of service in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  She especially loved to bake pies and give them to the missionaries serving where our family lived. Glenna also had a very wonderful sense of humor.  She loved to gently tease others, always with a big smile on her face.  She was always available for a fun game, a friendly visit, or a new adventure.  During her life, she lived in Germany, Spain, and Morocco and traveled widely through Europe and the United States.

Glenna is preceded in death and will be welcomed by her parents, her brother Gary, and her sister Jolene.  She will be greatly missed by her loving partner and husband Milton; a daughter, Linda, Roseville, CA; a daughter, Kathy (Larry), Green River, WY; and a son, Ken (Joni), Kaysville, UT.  She is also survived by a brother Blythe (Ann) Ahlstrom and a sister, Jean (Floyd) Scott. Glenna’s family includes 15 wonderful grandchildren and 27 sweet great-grandchildren as part of the extended legacy of her life.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 22, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.  Friends may visit family Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. at the mortuary.  Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd., Ogden.
