Glennis Pratt Barker, loving wife, sister and aunt passed away May 12, 2017, in Clearfield, Utah at the age of 92 from causes incident to age. She was born September 18, 1924, in Rexburg, Idaho, the daughter of Francis Moroni and Myrtle Grace Young Pratt. She was the youngest of eight children. She married Robert B. Barker June 15, 1945, in the Salt Lake Temple.

While she lived in Plano, Idaho, she attended 5th and 6th grades in a one-room school. They moved to Utah in 1936. She graduated from Davis High School where she was cheerleader and had the lead in the school play. She attended Utah State University, where she was a member of the Chi Omega Sorority.  She was a cheerleader and was voted “Personality of the Freshman Class.” She was a pretty, young lady and won several beauty contests. She also attended Henager's Business College and the Dayton School of Interior Design.

She was an accomplished pianist, organist, and dance director. Glennis was a collector of recipe books and was a great cook. She loved skiing, gardening, and ice skating. She worked in civil service for many years as an employee placement assistant and in various secretarial positions.

She was a member of the LDS Church and taught classes in young women's for 20 years.

In 1963, Glennis and Bob moved to Northern Virginia where Bob worked in the Pentagon as a computer systems engineer. Glennis also worked in the Pentagon as a legal secretary to the DOD Chief Counsel. They loved their 20 years in Virginia. Glennis was a history buff and visited most of the Revolutionary and Civil War Memorials. They returned to Utah to retire in 1980.

She is survived by her husband of 72 years; Janet Webster sister-in-law; Nephews, David (Vanessa) Webster, Tom (Ruth) Pratt; Nieces, Debbie (Mike) Kusuda and Callene (Reed) Sorensen - serving a mission in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Glennis requested no viewing. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 20, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at the Lindquist’s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main. Family will meet friends from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. at the mortuary.  Interment, Farmington City Cemetery.

Glennie, thank you for being a part of our lives. We love you and will greatly miss you.
