Our mother passed away Friday, April 17, 2015 at Emeritus Estates.

Mom was born December 5, 1926 to George and Louise Huseman Cowlishaw; she was the oldest of seven children.

Mom married our wonderful father, Hubert Jay Miller on January 30, 1953. Gloria and Hubert raised three girls, Debbie, Janet, and Ann, in Harrisville, Utah, providing wonderful childhood memories. Dad passed away suddenly on March 31, 1970 leaving Mom to raise three girls as a single parent. She continued to provide all we ever needed. Mom was an immaculate housekeeper, a terrific cook, and a beautiful seamstress, sewing many clothes for each of us. Mom later married Clair Knight.

She is survived by her three girls, Debbie (Kent) Child, Janet (Chris) Shaw, Ann (Bruce) Richins, 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, her husband Clair Knight, her brothers, Paul (Lydia) Cowlishaw, Kent (Sharon) Cowlishaw, her sister, Carol (Don) Paetsch, sister-in-law, Astrid Cowlishaw and brother-in-law, Chuck Jory.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Hubert, her brothers, Don Cowlishaw, George Cowlishaw and sister Beth Jory.

We would like to thank Judy and all the other “angels” at Emeritus Estates for their loving care of our mother.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at the Ogden City Cemetery, 1875 Monroe Blvd. The family will meet with friends on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 North Washington Blvd.
