Gloria Ester Palomo

August 3, 1928 ~ June 5, 2014

Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, Gloria Ester Palomo, peacefully passed away Thursday, June 5, 2014, surrounded by her children.

She was born August 3, 1928 in Puerto Barrios, Guatemala, the daughter of Jose Maria and Rosalina Franco Pineda. In September of 1945, Gloria married Ramon Ignacio Palomo in Guatemala. He preceded her in death May 6, 2010.

Gloria enjoyed knitting, crocheting for her grandkids and great-grandkids, spending time with her family and loved going to movies and watching her Novelas.

Special thanks to the nurses and aides at Rocky Mountain Nursing Home in Clearfield and the Hospice nurses and aides at Rocky Mountain Hospice Care for their care, love and patience with her.

Gloria is survived by her children, Luis (Aracely) Palomo, CA; Rosa (Allen) Ermer, Roy; Adinia Chavez, South Ogden; Elly (Tony) Klatt, Hooper; Frieda (Ken) Duryee, Roy; 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Jose Alberto Palomo, son-in-law, Gilbert Chavez and grandson, Jason Ermer.

Funeral services will be held Monday June 9th at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South. The family will meet with friends Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Roy City Cemetery.
