Gloria Bridges Wager

Gloria Bridges Wager, 84, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 27, 2013. She was born in Croydon, Utah on July 4, 1929 to LeGrand and Phoebe Durrant Bridges. She was raised on a ranch near East Canyon Reservoir. Gloria graduated from Morgan High School in 1947. She also graduated from Weber Academy with a teaching certificate.

She married Fred Augustus Wager, Jr. on June 5, 1950 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Gloria enjoyed gardening, reading, crocheting, camping, quilting, family vacations and car rides. She was an excellent cook.

She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in the Primary and Relief Society.

Gloria raised her three younger brothers and a sister from the age of 13 during her mother''s extended illness.

Survived by her children, Richard (Sheyla) Wager, David (Julie) Wager, Ellen McConkey, Janet Wager; 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; one brother, Jim Bridges, and one sister, Jane Cavender.

Preceded in death by her husband, parents, one sister, and three brothers.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 30, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
