Gloria Dean "Peggy" Williams

Gloria "Peggy" Williams, 89, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 12, 2012. She was born on August 9, 1923, in Ogden, Utah, the daughter of Samuel and Alice Caroline Babcock Lafreniere.

She married Orvil Lee Williams on December 18, 1941 in Malad, Idaho. Orvil and Peggy moved to Roseville, California and Reno, Nevada before settling in Ogden, Utah. Orvil passed away in April of 1986.

Peggy was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. She enjoyed her many church activities.

She was an avid quilter and made beautiful quilts. She loved her family and especially enjoyed having them in her home.

Peggy is survived by her son, James (Joan) Williams, San Jose, California; daughters, Gloria (John) Huskey, Bakerfield, California and Caroline Rutherford, Ogden, Utah; 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sons-in-law Kenneth West and Theodore Rutherford; a brother and 6 sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Ogden City Cemetery.
