Blessed in the sight of the LORD is the death of His saints. Psalm 116:15)
Surrounded by those who love her, Gloria Jean Worthy beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister and friend, went to her heavenly home on Wednesday January 30, 2019. Born on April 3, 1954, Mrs. Jean always had Joy in her heart and a smile on her face. Her favorite thing to say was “Let me tell you about MY JESUS” followed by an encouraging testimony of something God blessed her with that day. She loved to cook and her food was enjoyed by the many people she opened her home to. Jean also loved to sing loud and proud, and even a bit out of tune.
The loves of her life were first her husband, her kids, her grandkids, and Arctic Circle french fries. Jean leaves behind a legacy of Faith and Love for her Beloved husband and sweetheart of over 50 years Anthony “Amp” Worthy, her children Anthony Lamount Worthy, and Andrina Latonya Worthy and their spouses Lisa and Harris. The Legacy continues through her grandchildren Ty’yeas, Shanlee, William, Jorden, Calem, TJ, and India. And we cannot forget the many adopted children who view Mrs. Jean as a second mom.
Jean is survived by her Husband Anthnoy Worthy, her children Anthony Lamount Worthy, and Andrina Latonya Worthy, and her 7 grandchildren: Her mother Eunice Wise Thornton, Sister Pamela Thornton, and Brothers Tony, Danny and Frank Thonon. Passing on before was her father Frank Thorton.
It is with both great sorrow and great joy that we see her go to her Heavenly Fathers arms.
