Gomer H. Parry
FRUIT HEIGHTS – Gomer H. Parry, 87, passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2008.
He was born June 23, 1920 in Manti, Utah the son of Bernard and Vilate Harmon Parry.
Gomer married Dorothy Reid on May 1, 1946 in Manti, Utah.
He served in the Army as a Paratrooper during World War II.
He was a member of the LDS Church and held several callings, Priesthood Advisor, Elder Quorum President, Stake Missionary, full-time mission with his wife, Financial Clerk and Home Teacher.
Gomer retired from Chicago Bridge & Iron and Hill Air Force Base. He enjoyed planes, trains and automobiles.
Surviving are his wife Dorothy Parry, sons Lloyd (Virginia) Parry, Layton; Tim (Debra) Parry, Clearfield; Ladd (Georgette) Parry, Chandler, AZ; Don (Kumja) Parry, Murray; Steven (Diane) Parry, Kearns; Ted (Debbie) Parry, Kaysville; daughters Rebecca Parry, Fruit Heights and Marcia (Wayne) Mackay, West Jordan; 26 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and sister Blodwin Olsen.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 23, 2008 at 11 a.m. at the Kaysville Main Street Chapel, 500 So. Main. Friends and family may call Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the chapel.
Interment, Farmington City Cemetery.
