Gordon Lamont Daley resident of Layton, Utah, loving husband, father and grandfather passed away peacefully in his home on December 22, 2012 after a courageous ten year battle with cancer. These years were a precious gift to his loving family.

Gordon was born on May 14, 1947 in Payson, Utah to Lucille Hazel and Ned William Daley.

Gordon married the love of his life Kathleen Wall on February 18, 1967, later sealed in the Ogden Temple. Gordon and Kathy had four children, daughters Denise and Dawn and twin boys Shane and Shawn.

Gordon was proud to have served his country for 20 years in the United State Air Force, achieving the rank of Chief Master Sergeant. After retiring from the Air Force he completed his career at R.C. Willey''s and Data2Logistics.

Gordon was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he served as a high priest and he was a member of the Layton Kays Creek Ward.

Gordon appreciated his many brothers who weekly celebrated happy hour at Sonic. Gordon was the recipient of innumerable acts of kindness and support and his family wishes to thank everyone for all of their support and kindness, as a result of these acts we never walked this path alone.

Gordon was preceded in death by his father Ned, and children Shane and Dawn.

Gordon is survived by his loving wife Kathleen, daughter Denise, son Shawn, daughter-in-law Sandi and seven grandchildren, Kjersti, Abigail, Emmalynn, Shane, Paul, Kathie and Trausti, his mother Lucille, his sister Collene and brothers Milton and Blaine and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 29, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Kays Creek Ward, 2435 E. Canyon Rim (1550 No.), Layton. Friends may visit family Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment, Santaquin City Cemetery, Santaquin, Utah.
