Gordon Gerald “Judd” Glissmeyer
Gordon Gerald “Judd” Glissmeyer, 79, passed away on October 1, 2012 in Ogden, Utah, with his family by his side. He was born in Salt Lake City January 24, 1933 to Gordon George and Fern Johnson Glissmeyer.
Judd married Patricia Hall on January 13, 1956. They later divorced.
He was an Eagle Scout. He was also a talented painter, avid writer and colorful storyteller. A true mountain man, Judd experienced many of God’s majestic and pristine creations during his long life of fishing, hunting, exploring, hiking, camping and dredging for gold.
Judd is survived by his son, Kelly Gordon (Cathy) Glissmeyer, Rigby, ID; daughters, Kim Johns (Rick Lamoreaux), Mesa, AZ; Karen (Barron) Kelley, Layton, UT, and Kristi Valdez, Layton; and brothers Floyd (Connie) Glissmeyer, Redding, CA, and Willard (Nancy) Glissmeyer, North Ogden, UT. His lively laughter and easy manner will be missed by so many including his 11 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and his best buddy Ron Wright.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ronald Dale.
A short Memorial service will be held on Friday, October 5, 2012 at 7 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
Friends will meet with family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the mortuary.
