Gordon Ray Larsen

March 20, 1955 ~ January 27, 2021

It is with great sadness and shock that our beloved husband, dad, papa, great-grandpapa, son, brother and uncle passed on to join his beloved grandson, Colin, on Wednesday, January 27, 2021.

Gordon was born March 20, 1955 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Arel and Grant Larsen. He was the fourth child and very busy. Growing up on Angel Street in Layton he had many tree houses and huts to play in and explore.

His siblings are Barbara Thompson, who preceded him in death. Ronald (Joann) Larsen, Layton; Anita (Greg Heaston), Layton; Janet Moyer (John, who preceded him in death) and Carolyn (Steven) Balls and their families.

Gordon was blessed with four sons, and one daughter, Clint (Amy), J.T., Chris, Cody, Gavin, Kendra and Gage, Clay, Cierra and Nika, Cody (Taryn) Colin who preceded him in death, Cade and Harlie, Chase (Brandee) Cambree, Caydree and Chelcee, Carley (Gerald) Hodson, Nickey and Michyl (Bucky), and six great-grandkids.

He is loved by his brothers and sisters at North Davis Fire District where he served 12 years. He retired from Questar Gas after 42 years, retiring as Senior Management over the NGV program.

Gordon married his high school sweetheart January 18, 1975. On January 15, 1993, they were sealed in the Ogden Temple. In 2015, he and his wife moved to Las Vegas, NV where he was an instructor for NGVI. They moved back to Utah in 2018 to be closer to family.

He loved to cook and was an expert Dutch oven cook. Many scouts and young men from our ward and stake had their tummies filled with his yummy food, as well as the Young Women’s.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South. The family will meet with friends Monday, February 1st from 5 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.
