Grace Roylance Hancock
September 11, 1923 ~ September 2, 2016
Grace was born to Heber Thomas and Rebecca Asper Roylance. She was raised on a dairy farm where she learned the value of hard work. She had a beautiful voice and loved to sing from the time she was a little girl. She loved flowers and animals, especially cats.
She graduated from Weber High School where she met Vern Hancock. They were married on June 20, 1941. Grace and Vern founded Country Boy Dairy which was successful because of family and loyal employees and customers. They made the best ice cream in Ogden.
Grace was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she taught the youth about the gospel.
Grace is survived by her sons, Ron (Cathy) Hancock and Rick (Robyn) Hancock; daughters, Rama (Dean) Allred and Ranel (Steve) Reed; grandchildren, David, Bruce, Marc, Clay, Jared, Rebecca, Melinda, Cassie Zee, Matthew, Cade, Morgan, Cash, Carolyn, Sherry, Adam, and Kaylee; and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband, parents, sister, Selma Higgins; brother, Mark Roylance; great-granddaughter, Aspen Hancock; and son-in-law, Don Hales.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 N. Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Ben Lomond Cemetery, North Ogden.
