Graham William Shumway

May 30, 2017- May 31, 2017

Graham William Shumway was born on May 30th alongside his twin brother, Nash. Embraced in the arms of his mother, Graham returned to his Heavenly Father’s loving arms Wednesday, May 31st at Primary Children’s Medical Center. At only 2 pounds 14 ounces, he certainly was small, but his impact was great!  “In fact, some of the sweetest spirits are housed in frail frames.”

Graham brought a smile to his sibling’s faces as they held him and marveled at his miraculous physical features.  It truly was love at first sight.

His name was inspired by his grandmother, “Grammy Lur,” who undoubtedly welcomed him into heaven with a loving embrace. His middle name, William, comes from his great-grandfather, William Ludwig, who also was a twin.  William means “strong-willed warrior,” and that he was.

He is survived by his parents, Bryan and Allie Shumway; his brother Crew; sister Emery; his twin brother Nash; his grandparents, Dan and Andrea Shumway; his grandfather, Randy Cook; and is loved by his numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.  Graham joins many loved ones in heaven; his grandmother, Lorraine Cook; great-grandfather, George Miller; great-grandfather, Orlan Shumway; great-grandparents, William and Joyce Ludwig; Charles and Esther Cook.

An intimate viewing will be held on Thursday, June 8, 2017 from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at Lindquist’s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 No. Main, Kaysville, followed by a graveside service at the Kaysville City Cemetery at 11 a.m.

The family would like to thank the NBICU medical team at the University of Utah and Primary Children’s Hospitals for their love and care of their boys. The family asks in lieu of flowers or gifts, please make donations to Primary Children’s Medical Center.

Dear Graham, you are loved, you are missed, you are remembered.  “There is no foot too small that it cannot leave an imprint on this world.”
