1943-2018

Grant Dwane Dipo, 75, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2018 at 2:30 am. He was born on June 14, 1943, to George L. Dipo and Dora Lindsay Dipo in Salt Lake City, Utah. He served in the United States Army from March 10, 1965 to February 13, 1967.                                .

Grant enjoyed hunting, fishing, and, most of all, dessert. Grant was an exceptionally skilled tile-setter and took great pride in his work. He retired from tile-setting in June of 2006.

Grant is survived by his siblings Doreen Carlson, Tom Dipo (Darlene), Judy Hurdsman (Mike), and Dennis Dipo (Diane) and many cousins. Also survived by his wife Dorothy; step-daughter Kristy Whitaker (Mark), and step-son Michael (Ann) and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; George L and Dora Lindsay Dipo, his brother Gary Dipo (Sandy), his brother-in-law Richard Carlson (Doreen), his step-daughter Tresa Brunow (Fred), and his granddaughter Arianna Mair, also grandson Brandon Mair (Mike and Ann Mair).

Grant was a wonderful son, brother, father, and friend. He would do anything he could for anyone. He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered. Rest in Peace

Memorial Services will be held Sunday, September 2, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at the Sugar House Park Fabian Lakeside Pavillion, 1300 E. 2100 S.  Salt Lake City, UT. 84106.
