Gregory Martin Krim

April 30, 1951 ~ February 26, 2017

Gregory Martin Krim, peacefully passed from this earth on February 26, 2017, surrounded by family and friends.  He was born in Ogden on April 30, 1951 to Michael and Alberteen Krim.

Greg graduated from Ogden High where he was involved in ROTC.  He served an honorable mission in the New England Mission. He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served as a High Priest, Young Men’s Secretary, Primary Teacher, and Home Teacher.

Greg married the love of his life, Joan Maybury, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on May 23, 1974. They raised their family in Ogden.

In 1985, while working as a warehouse manager, he suffered a traumatic brain injury during an accident at work. After years of rehabilitation, Greg learned how to cope with his permanent disabilities. He continued to work at HAFB Commissary, the Ogden LDS Temple, and Enable Utah.

Greg enjoyed serving and visiting his neighbors. He touched many lives through his kind spirit, contagious smile, and positive attitude about life.

Greg is survived by his sweetheart, Joan; two children, Scott (Brooke) Krim and Danielle (Gabriel) Neves; sister, Anna Fay (Julio) Montoya; three grandchildren, Noel, Juliet, and Chaim Krim; sisters-in-law, Barbara Millard and Cindy Dawson; many loving nieces and nephews; and his poodle, Peaches.  He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Darin; brothers-in-law, Grant Maybury and Jim Millard; and in-laws, Al and Edna Maybury.

The family would like to give a special “thank you” to Ron and Rose Reddish for their attentive care and friendship, as well as to all the doctors and nursing staff who have cared for Greg over the years.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.  Friends may visit family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.  Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Rd.
