Gretchen Lyn Harper Bloemen

November 6, 1977 — October 15, 2023

The world lost a very special young lady on October 15, 2023.  Gretchen was born in Torrington, Connecticut on November 6, 1977 to Bonnie Stimpson and Dean Harper.

Gretchen graduated from Weber High School and attended Weber State University.  She also received her beauticians license from Stacey’s School of Beauty. In the past few years, Gretchen worked as an accountant for different companies and made many friends.

Gretchen married Mark Robison and had three beautiful girls, Tyler (Hunter) Pobanz, Reese Robison , and Kendal Robison.  Mark and Gretchen divorced and she then met and married Seneca Higley. She and Seneca had a beautiful little girl Indica.  She and Seneca divorced and this past May, she married Alex Bloemen and became a stepmom to Alex’s two children, Andrew and Evelyn.  Gretchen is also the proud grandma of Masyn Pobanz.

The world needs to know what a wonderful young lady she was. Gretchen had the most beautiful smile and was so very upbeat and loving.  She was also a little bit of a stinker, especially when she was with her friends.  She loved her family desperately.

Gretchen is survived by her sweet husband, Alex. Her girls, her granddaughter, and stepchildren. Also surviving are four brothers and one sister, one stepbrother, Troy (Maria) Harper, Eric (Tina) Harper, Jennifer Harper, Kevin (Amanda) Harper, Jonathan (Shannon) Harper, Kurtis (Cheryl) Van Cleave, her father Dean (Joanne) Harper, her mother Bonnie (Tom) Van Cleave, aunts, uncles, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The family would like to thank the wonderful nurses and doctors and staff in the ICU at the Holy Cross/Davis Hospital for their love and care for Gretchen and our family.
