Gretchen Sitzmann Shields

Gretchen Sitzmann Shields, much loved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend passed away on December 30, 2019 after a long courageous battle with cancer.

Gretchen is survived by her husband Randy; son Kyle Manson, and daughters Savannah and Sadie; parents Rick Sitzmann (Debby); Jackie Rutherford (Brian); sister Heidi Christiansen (Allen); brother Bill Sitzmann (Kim); brother-in-law Brock Shields (Sunni); father-in law Roger Shields; mother-in-law Diann Shields; uncle Tom Sitzmann (Marilyn); aunt Debbie Sitzmann; uncle Mike Malone (Patty); uncle Sean Malone; aunt Sheli Grote (Aaron); two grandchildren; nieces and nephews and treasured friends.

Gretchen was an amazing mother and grandmother.  Her quick wit, unmatched sense of humor, and her ability to connect to everyone she met, were her special gifts.  She loved playing TABOO, telling stories, and watching movies snuggled up close to her girls.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 11:00 am at Washington Heights Church, 1770 East 6200 South, South Ogden, Utah.  Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.

A luncheon hosted by Washington Heights Church will be immediately after interment.

Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
