Guenter Rose
OGDEN – Guenter Rose, 87, died Sunday, May 3, 2009 at his home in Ogden.
He was born June 9, 1921 in Haeslicht Schlesien, Germany, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Fritz Rose. He immigrated to the United States in 1952 and lived in Ogden for the past 54 years.
On June 15, 1954, Guenter married Gertraude Marianne Oertel in North Hampton, Massachusetts.
He owned and operated his own business: Guenter Rose American European Car Dealership, after which he was employed at Williams International until his retirement.
Guenter was a member of the Elim Lutheran Church.
The family wishes to thank the hospice workers for their loving care of our husband and father.
Surviving are his wife, Gertraude, two daughters, Dagmar K. (Richard) Griffin, Wendy E. (Todd) Vought, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are two sisters who still reside in Germany.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
Friends may call at the mortuary on Thursday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.
