Gullermo Gutierrez
LAYTON a" Gullermo Gutierrez, 82, passed away Saturday, June 16, 2007 at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born July 8, 1924 in Antonito, Colorado the son of Carpio and Reyes Pacheco Gutierrez.
Gullermo married Julia Trujillo on July 1, 1946 in Taos, New Mexico.
He lived in Lajara, Colorado until he went into the military, serving in the U. S. Army during World War II. After serving his country he lived in Clearfield, Ogden and Layton, Utah for over 55 years.
He enjoyed fishing and playing his guitar.
Surviving are his wife Julia Gutierrez, Layton; son Charles (Lorraine) Gutierrez, Tucson, AZ; seven daughters: Patricia (Ace) Parker, Salt Lake City; Marie Floto, Tucson, AZ; Margaret (Steve) Stephens, Tucson, AZ; Roseabell (Dave) Devries, Layton; Sharon Gutierrez, Layton; Karen (Barry) Abt, Layton; Christine (Shawn) Gallegos, Roy; 25 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, one brother Danny Gutierrez, Los Angeles, CA; three sisters, Lucy Lovato, Denver, CO; Margaret Trujillo, Alamosa, CO; and Tilly Lucero, Alamosa, CO.
Preceded in death by his sons, David Gutierrez, LeRoy Gutierrez, daughter, Aladine Gutierrez, brother, Gilbert Gutierrez, Ernesto Gutierrez, Joe Gutierrez and sister, Adaline Gutierrez.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be held Thursday, June 21, 2007 at 9 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 210 South Chapel Street, Layton. Friends and family may call Wednesday from 6 to 7 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Prayer service at 7 p.m.
Interment, Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd., Ogden.
