Guy Lee Voorhies

Guy Lee Voorhies, 67, passed away peacefully at home, warm in his bed, with his loving wife by his side. Guy was born in Ogden, Utah to Leslie Earl Voorhies and Jacquline Mason. He attended Clearfield High School and graduated in 1974. He married the love of his life DyAnn Beus on June 30, 1979. Together, they raised two children, Dallas and Dupree.

A lover of all things outdoors, Guy instilled all those same loved passions into his children. As a family, there were many camping, fishing, snow skiing, boating, baseball and hunting adventures, just to name a few. Guy loved his family more than life itself and he spent his lifetime building a legacy of love and treasured memories with them. He will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of meeting him.

 Guy is welcomed into the loving arms of his parents, siblings and many others who have been awaiting him in Heaven. Surviving is his wife of 44 years, DyAnn of Clearfield, son Dallas (Karen) of Clinton, daughter Dupree (Ben) of Clearfield. He has two very special grandchildren Libertie Leslie and Dallas Lee Voorhies Jr. who will cherish the time with their spunky grandpa.

A viewing for friends and family in Guy’s honor will be held Tuesday August 22 at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Rd., Layton, Utah from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
