Our sweet mother and grandmother, Gwen P. Dezember, 92, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 14, 2017.

She was born May 17, 1925 in Henderson Creek, Idaho to Thomas D. Price and Esther Blodwin Davis and was the youngest of five children. She was raised and educated in Henderson Creek/Malad.

On February 13, 1943, Gwen married Charles N. Dezember. They had four children.  Charles preceded her in death July 16, 2002.

In her younger years, she worked as a school secretary in the WSD, and held various other jobs throughout her life, where she made many life time friends.

Mom was such a hard worker and was talented in everything she pursued. She painted many beautiful pictures, which her family will always treasure. She designed many amazing floral arrangements and crafts which she sold in boutiques around the area.

Gwen was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed researching family history and volunteered at the Family History Center in Ogden for many years.

Mom spent the last year of her life residing at the Family Tree Assisted Living in West Point. We would like to thank all of the staff and friends there for the love and wonderful care they gave our mom.

Gwen was preceded in death by her parents, four siblings, her husband, one daughter, Nancy and one granddaughter, Joeylynn Aubert. She is survived by one son, Tim C. (VeDean) Dezember, Custer, SD; Julie (Ron) Thomas, Syracuse; Chris Hall (Shane Oliver), Roy; seven grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

A private graveside service will be held by the immediate family.

Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
