Gwen Ball Frandsen

Gwen Ball Frandsen, 92, passed away on August 5, 2018. She was born on March 30, 1926 in Ogden, Utah to George Henry and Violet Nielsen Ball. Gwen was raised in Ogden along with her five older siblings. She graduated from Ogden High School and attended Weber College for a short while. Gwen lived her life in the most positive light. She would find the positive in everything, which also made her a friend to all.
On April 15, 1948, Gwen married her sweetheart, Richard Dee Frandsen, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They celebrated 66 wonderful years together living and traveling all over the country and world, before finally making Ogden their permanent home. They raised one son and two daughters. Gwen was kind and gracious. She loved painting, cooking, golf and travel. She had a love for everyone around her. She was always willing and ready to render service and support to her family, church, and friends. Family was all important to her. She was a valiant servant of the Lord and was a great example to her family and friends. Gwen truly lived a wonderful life.
Gwen in survived by one son, Richard (Lori) Frandsen, Salt Lake City; two daughters, Karen (Craig) Keenan, Spokane, WA; and Katy (Mike) Conolly, Ogden; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Being the last of her generation, Gwen was preceded in death by her loving husband, parents, five siblings, and a grandson.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Saturday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Rd.
