Gwen Ruth Rasmussen

Gwen Ruth Rasmussen, 88, left this world in the arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Tuesday, August 4, 2009, at her home surrounded by her family.

Mom was born on December 28, 1920 in Preston, Idaho to John Ephriam Warrick and Nathel Carlson Warrick.

Mom married Harold M. Rasmussen on April 27, 1940. He died November 1, 1994. From their union came three children, David, DeAnn, and Karen.

Mom was preceded in death by her husband, our dad, Harold, her baby daughter DeAnn, one sister Doris, one brother Elvin, her parents, and one granddaughter DeeAnne.

Mom is survived by her son David H. Rasmussen (Mavis), her daughter Karren G. Lazenby (Ted), her sister Virginia Hildebrandt, two brothers Devon Warrick and Oliver Warrick (Elaine), three grandchildren Robert, LeeAnne, and Dana, four great-grandchildren, and eight step-grandchildren and their families.

Mom''s legacy of ''unconditional'' love will live on for generations. "Life is so pitifully short. The years with parents especially so short, that not one second should be misused." (Pearl Buck)

Thank you to the awesome Rocky Mtn Hospice team who so compassionately comforted mom in her final days, and thank you to Dr. Michael Beus for loving our mom.

Also, with gratitude to mom''s granddaughter LeeAnne, for the loving care she gave for the last month of mom''s life. We will forever be awe inspired by her devotion, loyalty, and sacrifice.
