Gwen Davis Peterson Tesch

1925 ~ 2017

Gwen was born on May 6, 1925 in Parker, Idaho, to Samuel F. and Temperance Davis.  She spent her school years in Las Vegas, Nevada, graduating from Las Vegas High School.

She married Arthur “Dan” Peterson on January 4, 1946 in the Manti LDS Temple.  They moved to Ogden, where they had six children – three still living.

Gwen was active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many callings, including Relief Society President and a temple worker at the Ogden Utah LDS Temple.  She served with Dan on an LDS Building Mission to the Netherlands from 1963 to 1965.

She was divorced and she married Herman B. Tesch on November 20, 1973.  They served together in the Pennsylvania Harrisburg Mission from 1976 to 1977.  Herm passed away on December 19, 1991.

Gwen is survived by her children, Sandra (Elwood) Powell, Ron (Debra) Peterson, and Gary (Anne) Peterson; nine grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.  Friends may visit with family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary.  Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
