Gwendolyn Warren Weibl

Our mom, grandma and friend, Gwendolyn Warren Weibl, 63, lost her battle with cancer Wednesday, March 24, 2010.

Born February 24, 1947 in Black Springs, Arkansas to William Granville and Opal Carter Warren. Mom''s journey took her to New Mexico, Washington State, California and finally to Utah. Utah has been home for 32 years.

Mom worked extremely hard all her life to support and raise her three girls. For this we say, "Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts!"

Mom was proud to be a Rich''s Topping and Icing Specialist. She taught many cake decorators at Smith''s, Albertson''s, Associated Foods and Broulim''s. And boy, could Mom decorate! She made many a masterpiece out of chunks of cakes and piles of icing! We will miss all the truly "awesome" cakes that could have been.

Most of all we will miss Mom''s presence and the sound of her voice.

Surviving are her three daughters, Darlene (Jay) Parkinson, Clearfield; Jennifer (Chris) Miles, Monument, Colorado; and Gwendolyn (Kevin) McNeal, Kaysville; three very special grandchildren, Bella, Khristopher and Kinzee.

Her Arkansas family: Mother, Opal Carter Warren; three brothers, Duncan (Kim) Warren, Honnus (Linda) Warren, Kenneth (Donnah) Warren and two sisters, Patsy (Chriss) Manley and Debbie (Robbie) Robbins.

Preceded in death by her father William Granville Warren.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, March 27, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends and family may call Saturday from 1 to 1:45 p.m. at the mortuary.

Inurnment, Lindquist''s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.

Our thanks goes out to Dr. Carl Gray, Dr. Robert Harris, the great staff at Utah Hematology Oncology, Gamma West and Davis Hospital and Medical Center Emergency Room. Thank you all for treating Mom with such care and respect.

A special thanks goes out to all Mom''s friends and co-workers in the cake "biz"! She missed you all very much these last few months!
