Gwenneth Christensen

October 4, 1920 ~ January 10, 2016

Gwenneth “Gwen” Jean Christensen was born on October 4, 1920 to Seymour E. and Iva Larsen Christensen in Ephraim, Utah.  She passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 10, 2016 at McKay Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah.

She married Moyle N. Christensen in the Manti LDS Temple on May 8, 1941.  Moyle passed away in 1990.  They were blessed with two sons, Allen (Janis) of North Ogden and Layne (JoAnn) of Eden; three daughters, Carma Lee (Larry) of Preston, ID; Nedra (Rodney) Peterson of Eden; and Jill Ellis (Jackson) of Duncan, BC Canada.  At Gwen’s passing she had 30 grandchildren 110 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

Gwen and Moyle were active in the Weber County Sheriff’s Mounted Posse for over 30 years.  Gwen was blessed to serve in numerous LDS Church callings and she was a teller at First Security Bank for many years.  She loved using her talents of painting, wall papering, sewing, and upholstering to bless the lives of others.

Her family is forever grateful for her “can-do” attitude and phenomenal example of how to lead a positive, righteous life.

We love you, Mom.  We are thrilled for you to be with Dad again and we will all work hard to be a credit to the two of you.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the North Ogden Stake Center, 650 East 2600 North.  Friends may visit with family on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 N. Washington Blvd.  and Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.  Interment, Ben Lomond Cemetery, North Ogden.

We thank Visiting Angels and Quail Meadow Assisted Living for their loving care of our mom.
